Make it readable
Reading and motion settings
Make the screen calmer and easier to read — text size, easier font, high contrast, reduced motion, and read-aloud.
ClassPods has a small set of reading settings designed to make the screen work better for you. They live in the Reading settings button on every quiz screen.
Text size
Four levels: Small, Normal, Large, Huge. Pick whatever lets you read without leaning forward. The setting is remembered for next time on the same device.
Easier reading font
Switches the typeface to Lexend. Lexend is designed to be more readable for many students, including students with dyslexia. If text feels dense or you find yourself re-reading lines, try turning this on.
High contrast
Sharpens the difference between text and background. Useful if you're in a bright room, on an older screen, or if regular text feels washed out.
Reduce motion
Turns off the celebratory animations between questions and the screen transitions. Useful if movement on the screen distracts you, or if you find quick transitions overwhelming.
Read-aloud
Press the Read aloud button on any question and ClassPods reads it out loud using the voice for the language you've chosen. Good for:
- Practicing pronunciation
- Reading along when text is hard for you
- Catching a question you missed visually
Your settings stay with you
When you change a setting, ClassPods remembers it on your device for next time. If you sign in to your profile, the settings travel between devices.
Your teacher may have set defaults
When a session starts, you may notice some settings are already on. Your teacher can pre-set a few defaults like easy font and reduce motion. You can still change them for yourself — the teacher defaults are a starting point, not a lock.
