After class
Practice and flashcards after class
Go back over a quiz at your own pace, or study with flashcards that track what you've learned.
A live game is just the start. ClassPods keeps the same content available for self-paced practice and flashcard study after class.
Practice mode
Practice mode is the same quiz, without the timer or the competition. You move at your own speed, get feedback on each question, and can retry questions you got wrong.
How to find it:
- From an assignment your teacher sent, click Practice on the assignment page.
- From a quiz you've played before, open it from your dashboard and choose Practice.
Practice mode is a good way to study before an upcoming live game or before homework is due.
Flashcards
Flashcards turn each quiz question into a study card. The front shows the question; flip the card to see the answer.
For each card, you mark how well you know it:
- Learning — still figuring it out
- Familiar — getting the hang of it
- Mastered — you know this one
ClassPods shows you the cards you're still learning more often than the ones you've mastered. This is called spaced repetition and it tends to stick better than re-reading.
Keyboard shortcuts in flashcards
If you're on a laptop, you can do everything from the keyboard:
- Space — flip the card
- Arrow keys — move forward and back
- 1 — mark as Learning
- 2 — mark as Familiar
- 3 — mark as Mastered
Your progress stays saved
Flashcard progress is saved on your device. If you sign in to a ClassPods profile, it follows you to other devices.
