Join with a PIN

A PIN is the fastest way into a live ClassPods game. You don't need an account, an email, or a password.

What you need

Just the 6-digit PIN your teacher shows on the classroom screen and a device with a web browser. A phone, tablet, laptop, or Chromebook all work.

Step by step

1. Open classpods.org/join on your device.
2. Type the 6 numbers exactly as your teacher shows them.
3. Pick a nickname so your teacher can see you on the screen.
4. Choose an avatar if you want — it's just for fun.
5. You'll see the lobby. Wait for your teacher to start.

When the game starts

The first question appears on your screen with a timer. Tap your answer choice (or type your answer if it's a type-in question). You'll get instant feedback on whether you were right.

If something goes wrong

• The PIN doesn't work — check the numbers, especially 0 vs O. PINs expire when the teacher ends the session, so you may need a fresh one.
• You lose connection — go back to /join and use the same PIN and the same nickname. You'll rejoin where you left off.
• You picked the wrong avatar — you can change it from the lobby before the game starts.

You don't need an account
